Estrella Del Mar (Domingo’s)

Domingo’s is situated on the beach next to el Carey with a large number of seats and tables available on the beach.

Domingo’s has a very good menu, serving a wide range of foods and drinks and with light background music and some very appreciated shade a very nice bar and nice place to pass the time away with a fantastic view of the ocean.

Opening times are through the day 09.30am – 8.00 pm.

Domingo’s is staffed by English speakers and are more than happy to accommodate all.

The menu is typical of the area Dominican and European.

Pasqual’s

Pasqual’s fast food, Is central to the beach
And is a favorite spot with Dominicans and Holiday makers just a 30 second walk to the waters shore with volleyball net and they also have swings and a seesaw for the children to entertain themselves while you relax and have that much needed cold drink.

Saturday to Sunday there is a substantial menu that covers all your Favorites
Burgers, Hotdog, Fries and a good selection of sea food, along with Dominican foods all reasonably priced.

My favorite food here is the Dirty rice, Lemon Chicken and Habichelas (beans in a light sauce)

And to make it an evening to remember there is a bonfire on the beach shore.

                        10.00am till 930.00pm Sunday

The Catamaran

Catamaran is toward the North of the beach, set in a tranquil cove a nice place to top up your tan, this spot has its fair share of sun with a light breeze an ideal place to spend your time, the bar and restaurant as the name suggests is in the shape of a catamaran boat,

The menu at the Catamaran is diverse and varied as any on the beach serving Dominican and your favorites and much more,( if you don’t see what you need, then just ask)

At different times The Catamaran hold events but not on a regular basis.

.

Federico’s

Federico’s is at the extreme end of the North of the beach, a tranquil spot on the beach you will not find, sunny with a light breeze and a great view.

This bar has been rebuilt in the last 6 months after a fire, and Federico’s 2  has found a new lease of life in business with a move up in class, a friendly inviting place to eat and drink or just to relax in the sunshine.

The menu is in tune with the people who prefer this bar but the menu is not fixed and on request your order will be met if it can be,(just ask? English spoken) again as in all the bars and restaurants the prices are very reasonable.

Solo Mio
Solo Mio Costambar’s only Italian restaurant
Serving traditional Italian food, Pizza, Pastas and much more all served in a warm, large welcoming restaurant a good place to entertain your friends and family.

Ricks Bar

Ricks Bar sits at the side of a popular condo Atlantic One
Over the years this bar has run under many different names
But as Ricks it has only been open for a few short months
A nice tranquil setting next to the pool with good shade for those who wish to get out of the sun for a much needed break,

More to follow?

Ambiate

Ambiante is located on the main through road in and out of Costambar with a large outdoor seating area and a small compact bar inside it’s a good spot to sit and chill; only recently opened and slowly making their mark through their blend of Dominican and European music.

Capicua

Capicua is located on the main road through Costambar and run by Peter who has been one of the main restaurateurs in Costambar over the last 17 years, and in every case he has provided a vast and varied menu, all who have eaten there have become repeat customers time and time again, the varied menu incorporates German, Austrian, European and Caribbean food seated in a friendly environment, a nice relaxing place to eat and chat with some really nice people.
Bieke’s Bar
Bieke’s Bar well what can you say about the world renowned Bieke’s bar that has not been said before?

The first and last bar in and out of Costambar, everyone who comes through our town has stopped or has been made aware of the bar, and its special place in Costambar folklore.

The bar it’s self is only 25 feet long but 100 feet in character run by Bieke and his better half Liz.

This bar is the place to come to watch everyone else come and go, while sipping your Cuba or chugging your beer whatever your tastes are, it can be accommodated for, food is available whenever the cook say’s so? (But is always worth the wait)

Bieke’s is best known for its Saturday specialty Bieke’s Burger (To ensure you get one order) or get there early.

Bieke’s was the first place I drank when I first came here 5 years ago, he told me a few things to remember about the place and they are as true today as they were then a good man and a good bar (if you’re up to it?)
